Welcome back to Day 2 of Healthy Mind Power Week. 7 days of short inspirational reads to get your day (and month) off to a great start! Today, let us talk about why failure is a good thing.
‘If you try you risk failure, if you don’t, you ensure it’ – anonymous
Often, we are scared to fail, so we don’t even try something. Unless it’s forced upon us, we remain in our comfort zone and continue our day to day living without much progress. The thing is, failing or making mistakes is just part of the journey to reaching your goals! Don’t be scared of failure, we only fail when we completely give up on an idea. Embrace failure as lessons to be learned and temporary setbacks. Just keep trying with the fresh knowledge you have gained.
Some of the most influential people in the world, reached their goal after multiple failures. If they had given up after a few setbacks we wouldn’t have most of the things we take for granted: electricity, means of travel, the internet, Disney, KFC, Oprah! The Challenge:
Today I challenge you to take a risk, and begin again on something that you may have suffered a setback on. Whether it’s a career, health, family or relationship goal, take a few steps today to further you along that journey. Be patient and persistent, it will happen.

Great reminder. Failure can be so discouraging, it’s hard to see as progress when you’re in the moment.
